Course Details
This demanding course gives you the opportunity to earn while you learn. You will learn specialist hairdressing techniques designed to enhance your development as a qualified stylist. You will need to be dedicated to working on projects independently, 100% reliable, committed to the job role and have an excellent attendance, punctuality and discipline record.
Successful applicants will spend one day studying at Fareham College and the rest of the week working in the Gosport College Hair and Beauty Academy. The course will cover advanced level techniques in:
- Creative cutting
- Creative colouring
- Colour correction
- Long hair design
- Dressing and styling
One or two salon uniforms and kits (depending on the course) are essential, plus text books. A list is available and students may purchase these through the College.

Students will be offered a place on an appropriate programme of study which best meets their learning needs and aspirations. For many of the programmes of study, there are minimum entry requirements.
