Level 3 Coaching & Performance Management

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at C grade or an NVQ Pass grade or BTEC Level 2. If you do not meet the academic requirements you may be able to undertake this course subject to interview and coaching assessment.

Course Details

This course provides you with the opportunity to study various aspects of sport with emphasis on performance and coaching. It is a stimulating combination of practical and theoretical work. This course gives you an insight into a career of sport within its occupational areas. During your course you will study a number of specific units including:

  • Technical and tactical skills in sport
  • Psychology for sports
  • Performance and rules
  • Regulations officiating in sport

All sports students have the opportunity to complete a Level 2 Stewarding Award through Southampton Football Club (subject to funding).

If you are successful you could go on to a career in Sport including coaching and leadership, sports development and tactical, technical skills.
