Level 1 Uniformed Services
Entry requirements
There are no formal qualifications required. However, a basic level of numeracy and literacy is required to comply with the health and safety and assessment aspects of the course.
Course Details
If a career in the uniformed or public services appeals to you, then this course will provide you with a good introduction into this area of work. The course will cover:
- Investigating employment opportunities in the Uniformed Services
- Wellbeing and Physical Fitness
- Team Working Skills
- Developing Self Discipline
- Map reading and Navigation
- Football Steward Training
- Induction course in Alcohol Awareness
- First Aid Training
You will also go on course related visits to the Army, Fire Services, RAF and Navy. As well as being able to take part in residential trips to Wales or Spain.

- Come in and fill in an application form in person
Students will be offered a place on an appropriate programme of study which best meets their learning needs and aspirations. For many of the programmes of study, there are minimum entry requirements. These requirements must be met and will be discussed at interview. More details in the Admissions Policy.
