Level 1 Uniformed Services

Entry requirements

There are no formal qualifications required. However, a basic level of numeracy and literacy is required to comply with the health and safety and assessment aspects of the course.

Course Details

If a career in the uniformed or public services appeals to you, then this course will provide you with a good introduction into this area of work. The course will cover:

  • Investigating employment opportunities in the Uniformed Services
  • Wellbeing and Physical Fitness
  • Team Working Skills
  • Developing Self Discipline
  • Map reading and Navigation
  • Football Steward Training
  • Induction course in Alcohol Awareness
  • First Aid Training

You will also go on course related visits to the Army, Fire Services, RAF and Navy. As well as being able to take part in residential trips to Wales or Spain.

Next Steps

Progression to Uniformed Services BTEC Level 2, or a career in the Armed Forces or Emergency Services.
