Gosport College offers a range of skills-based courses for young people in Gosport.
It is an exciting partnership between Gosport secondary schools, Fareham College, Fareport Training Ltd and support agencies working in and around the borough.
Gosport College was initiated by Hampshire County Council in 2010 to provide job-related vocational and occupational training courses in Gosport. The College opened its doors to the first students in September 2010 and has not looked back since.
Our Skills Centres and Academies now offer a wide range of skills-training opportunities that help students acquire real skills directly related to the jobs available in the local area.
As a partnership organisation, the College draws on the expertise and experience of a wide range of key and influential organisations that work in and for Gosport. The College is extremely proud of the work that it undertakes to equip young people in Gosport with highly valuable job-related skills and how it successfully prepares them for the world of work.
Our 2010-2011 performance is comparable with the best colleges and training providers in the country with over 95% of young people that started at the College completing their course and achieving their qualifications.
In this prospectus the College has expanded its provision to offer additional courses in subjects that it already excels in, such as the Football Educational Programme, Horse Care and a range of advanced level 3 qualifications in Motor Vehicle Studies and Construction, based at our Fareham Reach Skills Centre.
Our commercial hairdressing salon based at the College’s Hair and Beauty Academy in Gosport High Street offers both full-time courses at levels 1 and 2 as well as advanced apprenticeships for those with more experience.
